For years, Mary McGinnis has had a passion for carrot cake, attempting to perfect her personal recipe. McGinnis, along with family, friends and coworkers on the Respiratory Care Unit at Berkshire Medical Center, taste-tested the carrot cake through trial and error until her current, prize-winning recipe was formed. Three hundred slices of Mary’s Carrot Cake are sold each Third Thursday.

McGinnis encourages you to visit her quaint, little shop to enjoy a slice of cake or even a whole one. Mary’s Carrot Cake is located next to Gallery 25, below Art on No, of which artists filled the store with creative pieces for sale. In nice weather, guests can sit outside at one of its café tables a la the French Riviera.
