North Street area merchants provide a safe place for families to get goodies for their little ghosts and goblins.
Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. has announced the 2011 Downtown Pittsfield Trick or Treat. Witches, pirates, ghosts, princesses, and superheroes alike are invited to show off their costumes for treats during Downtown Pittsfield Trick or Treat, Saturday, October 29 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Trick-or-treating in downtown Pittsfield is a safe and fun way for parents and kids to celebrate a popular and old tradition.
Donna Rivers, owner of Bisque, Beads and Beyond, said, “I believe that the trick-or-treat downtown during the day on a Saturday will allow more families with young children to participate and enjoy the festivities in a safe and friendly environment. I am looking forward to this becoming an annual event that will bring all our young families downtown to create a new holiday tradition that they will look back fondly on as part of growing up in Pittsfield.”
Participating merchants located throughout the North Street area will be identified by a colorful “Trick or Treat Participating Merchant” sign on their windows or doors. This is a free, family event brought to you by Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. in cooperation with downtown merchants.
