Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA):

April 3, 2020, REDUCED BRTA BUS SERVICE

Due to the continuing impact of the COVID-19 virus, Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA) will reduce the normal weekday service to a modified schedule effective Monday April 6, 2020. Saturday service has not been affected and will run as scheduled. Modified schedules of the effected routes below are posted to the BRTA website homepage.

The following routes will have 120-minute headways instead of the usual weekday 60-minute service headways:
Route 1 Pittsfield to North Adams,
The Route 1 bus will leave the ITC at 5:30, 7:30, 9:30, 11:30, 1:30, 3:30, and 5:30
Route 2 Pittsfield to Lee,
The Route 2 bus will leave the ITC at 6:30, 8:30, 10:30, 12:30, 2:30, and 4:30
Route 4 Pittsfield to Dalton/Hinsdale,
The Route 4 bus will leave the ITC at 8:00, 10:00, 12:00, 2:00, 4:00, and 6:00
Route 11 Pittsfield to BCC,
The Route 11 bus will leave the ITC at 9:30, 11:30, 1:30, 3:30, and 5:30
Route 21 Lee to Great Barrington.
The Route 21 bus will leave the Lee Big Y at 7:33, 9:33, 11:33, 1:33, and 3:33

The Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA) is committed to the health and safety of all customers utilizing our transit system during this uncertain time of the COVID-19 pandemic. All BRTA vehicles are cleaned every evening using products that are effective against the spread of the Coronavirus. Our facilities are cleaned using the same Coronavirus effective products multiple times a day, especially in high traffic, high touch areas. Posters from CDC and FTA outlining ways to reduce the spread of the coronavirus are posted in our facilities, vehicles, and employee bulletin boards. Our Operators follow CDC guidelines regarding hand-washing, coughing, and general etiquette to remain healthy.

Following COVID-19 protocols, the BRTA has also limited public use of the Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) to those utilizing BRTA’s bus service, Peter Pan, Greyhound, Amtrak, or buying food at the coffee shop. BRTA has instituted social distancing within the ITC by removing tables and spacing out the remaining chairs. Our staff and customers’ safety is important to us.

 

 

BFAIR:

Please note that the BFAIR North Adams and Pittsfield offices will be open from 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday.

We are open to our pediatric patients 8 am-4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
We are taking every precaution to keep our staff and patients safe. We are utilizing two waiting rooms, one for sick visits and one for well visits. Well children enter from our side entrance.
All calls are first screened before arrival.
We are using telehealth options, which include telephone conferences with patients (parents) and video visits.

Art Therapy with Marney Schorr at NUarts is open via video-conferencing and is offering “Coping with Art” groups for families and adults with free scholarships available. Contact Marney for info at marn73@hotmail.com.

The Arts in Recovery for Youth (AIRY) suicide prevention program, also at NUarts, continues on its regular schedule by video conference three times per week, with ongoing open enrollment for teens and young adults who may be feeling suicidal.

As of 3/17, there will be no services at St. George for the next two weeks. The annual Greek Pastry Sale that was scheduled for April 11th has been cancelled.
