DESCRIPTION:Night Out at the Museum: Astronomy in the Moonlight\nFriday November 19\, 6:30 to 9 pm \nCelebrate the opening of “Museum of the Moon” as the Berkshire Museum launches “Night Out at the Museum”\, a new adults-only salon series where visitors and special guests meet to explore themes and special interests while enjoying snacks\, drinks\, and fun activities. \nEnjoy art\, science\, and smart conversation after-hours during this special event for adults ages 21+ as you grab a drink\, meet new friends\, and learn about our nearest celestial neighbor under the light of the much-anticipated Museum of the Moon exhibition on its opening night. The evening will feature presentations by experts in astronomy\, delicious snacks\, a cash bar\, origami crafts\, and VR experiences inspired by the splendor of the night sky. \nSpeakers:\nDr. Nick Stroud\, MCLA professor of science education\nDr. Casey Honniball\, NASA Postdoctoral Program fellow\, lead author of research that discovered water molecules on Earth’s moon \n$25 general admission\, $20 members\nEach ticket includes hors d’oeuvres and one drink ticket for beer or wine. \nDoors open at 6:30 pm. Talks begin at 7 pm. \nAll event attendees are required to show a form of ID and one of the following upon arrival:\n— a COVID-19 vaccination card\n— proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 48 hours \nClick here to purchase tickets!
