DESCRIPTION:Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. will present Indoors Out! Free Kids’ Paint & Sip on Friday\, September 2\, 5-7 pm\, at the parklet and outdoor seating area at The Marketplace Café\, 53 North Street. This event will be held in conjunction with the September 2nd First Fridays Artswalk which will take place in a dozen locations in downtown Pittsfield from 5 to 8 pm. \nThis free event is best suited for ages 5 to 12\, although older children are welcome. All materials\, snacks\, and juice will be provided. For the September Paint & Sip\, children can paint whatever they like! Children must be accompanied by an adult and masks are recommended. The alternate rain location will be at Hot Harry’s covered outdoor seating area at 37 North Street. \nIndoors Out! Free Kids’ Paint & Sip is presented by Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. and funding has been provided by the Commonwealth Places Program created by MassDevelopment. The event is presented in partnership with First Fridays Artswalk.

SUMMARY:Back Porch Music - Jake Blount - Hancock Shaker Village
DESCRIPTION:Jake Blount is an award-winning banjoist\, fiddler\, singer\, and ethnomusicologist based in Providence\, RI. Blount specializes in the music of Black communities in the southeastern United States\, and in the regional style of the Finger Lakes. His first full-length solo album\, Spider Tales\, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Bluegrass Chart\, and received positive coverage from NPR\, Rolling Stone and Billboard. Spider Tales later appeared on “Best of 2020” lists from NPR\, Bandcamp\, The New Yorker\, and the Guardian. \nTickets are $25/day of ($20/advance); kids 12 and under are free.
