DESCRIPTION:Bird banding at Arrowhead allows visitors an up-close opportunity to see birds and watch the process of bird banding. Bird banding allows researchers the opportunity to study a wide array of wild birds in their natural habitat. Arrowhead’s woods\, fields\, and shrub land make it an ideal site to monitor a broad range of breeding bird species. \nJoin the BBO researchers as they leverage the wonder of a bird in the hand to spark a curiosity about the natural world while showcasing ecological interactions that connect us all. \nFree\, drop in event\, weather permitting.

DESCRIPTION:Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. and Framework will feature a brand-new photography exhibition featuring 20 portraits from Faces of Pittsfield\, photographs by Marina Dominguez\, June 6 through June 26\, 2025\, at Framework by Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. (437 North Street). \nFaces of Pittsfield shines a light on the people who live and work in Pittsfield by cultivating a diverse and inclusive sense of community through photographs and social media. \nThe mission of Faces of Pittsfield is to reshape the narrative of Pittsfield by celebrating the contributions of all who make this city vibrant\, welcoming\, and full of life. Faces of Pittsfield honors local people and businesses\, promoting inclusivity and diversity by amplifying the stories of people who live and work in Pittsfield. \nThere will be an opening reception with the photographer during the June 6 First Fridays Artswalk from 5 to 8 pm. \nThe exhibition will be on view Monday through Thursday\, 10 am to 2 pm\, June 6 through June 26\, by visiting the Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. offices at 431 North Street.
