This all-levels class is open to everyone and designed to help you build strength\, balance\, and flexibility — while enjoying nature and peaceful views of the water. \nWhat to Expect: \nGentle\, accessible yoga practice in a welcoming atmosphere \nSliding scale donation-based class (pay what you can) \nAll memberships and class passes accepted \nOutdoor yoga surrounded by fresh air and sunshine \nA great way to center yourself before the week ahead \nIn Case of Rain:\nClass will move indoors to our studio (next class starts just after 9 am). You’ll receive a text update 1–2 hours before class if the weather requires a location change — check the schedule online for updates. \nWhere to Find Us:\nBurbank Park (off Valentine Road in Pittsfield). Follow signs to the pavilion — bear right when entering the park. DESCRIPTION:Great\, great\, great granddaughter of Herman Melville and playwright Elizabeth Doss will lead writers in a week-long intensive playwriting workshop that will culminate in a public reading of scenes at the end of the process. Doss will employ a variety of techniques to encourage participants to maximize the theatrical possibilities of each word they type. The workshop will incorporate devising\, site-specific\, and play-based strategies in addition to story craft\, and playwriting nuts and bolts. DESCRIPTION:Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. has announced a new summer dance series titled “Rhythmscape” on Dunham Mall\, select Sunday afternoons from 6 to 8 pm\, June 1 – August 31. Dunham Mall can be located by entering 100 North Street on your GPS. \nEach session will highlight a different rhythm and instructor from our local community\, reflecting the many identities that make Pittsfield home. Rhythmscape is free and open to all and encourages everyone to experience the joy of movement and the beauty of cultural exchange. No experience is necessary to participate. \nAt the Sunday\, July 13 session\, enjoy a free Zumba® class with Sandra Zarate open to all ages and fitness levels. Beginners are welcome!  \nSandra Zarate is a Colombian Zumba® instructor with over 10 years of experience sharing her passion for dance and fitness with people of all ages and skill levels. Since 2013\, she has been teaching Zumba® and holds multiple certifications\, including Aqua Zumba\, Zumba Sentao\, Zumba Toning\, Zumba Step\, Zumba Gold\, and Zumba Jr. & Kids. \nSandra loves what she does and finds great joy in helping her students reach their goals while having fun along the way. She believes that in today’s fast-paced and hyper-connected world\, it’s essential to create moments to disconnect and focus on ourselves.
