DESCRIPTION:Great\, great\, great granddaughter of Herman Melville and playwright Elizabeth Doss will lead writers in a week-long intensive playwriting workshop that will culminate in a public reading of scenes at the end of the process. Doss will employ a variety of techniques to encourage participants to maximize the theatrical possibilities of each word they type. The workshop will incorporate devising\, site-specific\, and play-based strategies in addition to story craft\, and playwriting nuts and bolts. Depot After Dark will feature DJ-led dance parties from 8 to 11 pm with food and drink available for purchase. \nBeverages including beer\, wine\, and margaritas will be available from Tito’s\, and non-alcoholic “zero proof” cocktails and other specialty drinks will be available from Wander.
