DESCRIPTION:Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc.\, in partnership with the 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival and Mill Town Foundation\, will be bringing a special event to the 10×10 lineup on Saturday\, February 22! Opal Raven Cirque will perform a Fire Dance routine from 5:15 to 5:45 pm at the First Street Common. \nOpal Raven Cirque is a circus and sideshow performer based in Western Massachusetts. She’s known across New England and the Tri-State area for her “Danger Dame of the Flame” variety show. Also known as the Sword Queen of Gypsy Layne\, Opal showcases masterful sword spinning and daring prop tricks. \nBook-ending the Fire Show will be Berkshire United Way’s 10x the Fun from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church and 10 Minutes of Fireworks at 6 pm on the Common. DESCRIPTION:“Art and Music Sunday on Upper North”\nA 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival collaboration\nSunday\, February 23\, 10 am to 12 pm \nDowntown Pittsfield\, Inc. presents an Opening Reception for Focus on Downtown\, a brand-new photography exhibition at Framework by Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. \nDottie’s Coffee Lounge presents Domingo Brunch with Amy Attias and Dave Christopolis\, and Edward Acker (photographs)\, Jesse Tobin McCauley (paintings)\, and Tina Van De Water (paintings) at The Dot Gallery. \nFocus on Downtown (on view February 3 through March 26) features three Berkshires-based photographers who will show you Downtown Pittsfield through their lens. Brian Beckett\, Shaun Harmon\, and Autumn Phoenix have taken over the Framework gallery space with vibrant and artistic shots of Downtown. There will be a reception with the photographers on Sunday\, February 23\, 10 am to 12 pm\, at 437 North Street. \nFocus on Downtown will be on view Monday through Thursday\, 10 am to 2 pm\, February 3 through March 26\, by visiting the Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. offices at 431 North Street. The offices will be closed on Monday\, February 17 for Presidents’ Day. \nDottie’s Coffee Lounge\, 444 North Street\, will feature an art exhibit and Domingo Brunch on Sunday\, February 23 from 10 am to 12 pm. \nDomingo Brunch will feature live music from Amy Attias and Dave Christopolis from 10 am to 12 pm. Amy Attias is a classically trained violinist and vocalist\, and Dave Christopolis is a bass and guitar player who writes Tom Waits-like originals. The pair will be playing Dave’s original songs along with cover tunes. \nThe Dot Gallery at Dottie’s Coffee Lounge will be showcasing the work of three area artists: Edward Acker (photographs)\, Jesse Tobin McCauley (paintings)\, and Tina Van De Water (paintings). The show is on view during Dottie’s regular business hours through the end of March. \n“Art and Music Sunday on Upper North” is presented by Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. and Dottie’s Coffee Lounge in partnership with Mill Town Foundation. \nThese events are a part of Pittsfield’s 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival which features dozens of events from February 13-23\, 2025.
