DESCRIPTION:Every Third Thursday\, May through September\, come rain or come shine\, the section of North Street from West Street to Linden Street will be closed to vehicular traffic\, and the street will be filled with live music and performances\, a variety of local food\, vendors\, and community activities. All 3rd Thursdays are smoke-free. \nJoin Jacob’s Pillow in the Dance Zone at the north end of Pittsfield’s June Third Thursday cultural street festival for a family-friendly pop-up performance. The TL Collective fuses contemporary dance and theatrical hip-hop with elements of groove and acrobatics\, bringing high levels of athleticism to the stage. \nArtistic Director Micaela Taylor is highly acclaimed\, included as one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” and recent recipient of the Inaugural EMERGE Choreographic Award from Springboard Danse Montréal. The TL Collective performs Taylor’s newest evening-length work “Drift”\, which seeks to demonstrate an individual’s ever-changing relationship to self while exposing a personal season of self-growth.
