DESCRIPTION:Every Third Thursday\, May through September\, come rain or come shine\, the section of North Street from West Street to Linden Street will be closed to vehicular traffic\, and the street will be filled with live music and performances\, a variety of local food\, vendors\, and community activities. All 3rd Thursdays are smoke-free. \n  \n  \nThird Thursday: Barkha Dance Company\, 6 pm \n  \nJoin Jacob’s Pillow in the Dance Zone at the north end of Pittsfield’s Third Thursday cultural street festival for this family-friendly pop-up performance. Barkha Dance Company (BDC) creates works to forge links between contemporary themes and traditional Indian Kathak dance\, and to help guide audiences to a better understanding of Indian culture and art form. \nArtistic Director\, Barkha Patel has presented her solos at Jacob’s Pillow and the NJPAC. Recently\, Pangea Dance Series commissioned BDC to create a 15-minute production exploring immigrant experiences.
