Seventeen restaurants and bars in downtown Pittsfield will be participating. \n  \n“A Taste of Downtown” will feature marketing efforts to highlight downtown Pittsfield’s local restaurants and restaurant owners and the Taste of Downtown Giveaway which will be an incentive for people to dine in local restaurants over the course of the month. \n  \nThe prize for the Taste of Downtown Giveaway will be 18 gift cards – one from each of the participating restaurants – an over $400 value. Every purchase at a participating restaurant will count as one entry to win the prize package. Ask your server for the QR code to enter the contest at the time of purchase. Patrons will receive a sticker on their passport for each unique place they dine\, with each sticker being an entry into a prize drawing for restaurant gift cards from all 17 participating restaurants! \n\nThe passport will be available at participating locations the week of February 16. \n\nThere will also be Restaurant Week special events at participating restaurants presented by Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. and the Mill Town Foundation. \n\nEvents include the one-night only return of Trivia with Double Entendre\, hosted by Kevin Pink and Steve Rogers\, on Tuesday\, February 20 at 7 pm at Thistle and Mirth. This event is free to attend. Pizza and beer will be available for purchase. \n\n101 Restaurant & Bar will host Live Blues with The Zarvis Brothers on Wednesday\, February 21\, 6 to 9 pm. There is no cover charge to attend. \n\nHot Plate Brewing Co. will host Opal Raven’s Night Circus\, an evening of the strange and unusual\, on Friday\, February 16 at 7:30 pm. From entrancing belly dancers and entertaining drag to sensual burlesque and even a little bit of the impossible come to life\, there will be something for everyone. Opal Raven’s Night Circus will be hosted by Bella Santarella and will feature Opal Raven Cirque with special guests Rosebud Red and Jonathan Vale. \nHot Plate will also be debuting a brand-new beer available for purchase. If a person visits 10 different places in the 10 days\, they will get 10 bonus entries\, and if they donate a non-perishable food item to benefit the South Community Food Pantry at South Congregational Church\, they will also receive a bonus stamp. Donations may be dropped off at Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc.\, 33 Dunham Mall\, from 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. \n  \nThe passport will be available at participating locations the week of February 16. Recently\, Pangea Dance Series commissioned BDC to create a 15-minute production exploring immigrant experiences. Performances by the Amy Ryan Band\, Jacob’s Pillow\, Rock On Workshop\, and The Hoping Machine. Zumba with Berkshire Yoga Dance & Fitness in Park Square and much more! \n3rd Thursday | Tapped In: Alumni of The School at Jacob’s Pillow\, 6 pm \nJoin Jacob’s Pillow in the Dance Zone at the north end of Pittsfield’s Third Thursday cultural street festival for this family-friendly pop-up performance. Tapped In brings together standout alums from The School at Jacob’s Pillow to downtown Pittsfield for one night only. Tap dancers Demi Remick\, Jackson Clayton\, and Christina Carminucci will be performing tap solos. \nDemi Remick is a YoungArts Gold Award winner in Dance\, one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch\,” and Presidential Scholar in the Arts nominee who tours worldwide as a tap dance soloist with Postmodern Jukebox and Caleb Teicher & Company. \nChristina Carminucci\, born and raised in New Jersey\, is a New York City-based tap dancer. She began her training with the American Tap Dance Foundation’s Tap City Youth Ensemble and has studied extensively under the mentorship of Derick K. Grant. Christina is a Cum Laude graduate from Pace University (2016) with a BBA in Arts and Entertainment Management and can be seen performing\, choreographing\, and teaching throughout NYC. This proud Jacob’s Pillow Tap Program alumna has appeared in works by many of today’s greats\, including Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards\, Brenda Bufalino\, and Jason Samuels Smith\, to name a few. Additionally\, she has danced with a number of notable companies including Michelle Dorrance’s Dorrance Dance and Sarah Reich’s Tap Music Project. Over the past few years\, Christina has performed both locally in the NYC area\, as well as internationally overseas on the #1 rated cruise ship in the world. As an emerging\, young choreographer\, Christina co-produced On That Note\, and\, most recently\, produced her first original one-woman show When the Smoke Clears at the Triad Theater in NYC. Passionate about sharing her love and knowledge of the art form\, she currently teaches at the American Tap Dance Foundation\, where she is in her third season as an Artist in Residence and is on faculty at Steps on Broadway. DESCRIPTION:For 50 years the Polish Picnic has been a tradition that has carried forth from Holy Family Church to St. Joseph’s Church on the Parish Grounds.  This event continues to draw a large attendance. \n  \nPolish food available for purchase includes the following: \nKielbasa\, Kapusta\, Golumbki and Pierogi. \nFrozen Polish food can be purchased starting at 9 am. \nHot Polish dinners will be available at 12 pm.\nAmerican fair  available for purchase includes:  Hot dogs\, hamburgers\, beer\, wine\, soda and various desserts. \nVarious raffles will be held including the popular Lottery ticket tree. \nEntertainment for your listening and dancing pleasure will be provided by The Rymanowski Brothers of Albany\, NY from 1 to 5 pm! \nKiddy Land with Mr. Bouncy Bounce and other children’s games will be set up to entertain the younger members of the family.  Bring your lawn chair for an afternoon of fun and enjoyment! \nAdmission is free! Join the almost 100 vendors for a great night of music\, food and drink in the heart of the Berkshires! \n  \nJoin Jacob’s Pillow in the Dance Zone at the north end of Pittsfield’s July Third Thursday cultural street festival for a family-friendly pop-up performance. Based in Columbia\, Maryland\, the Teelin Irish Dance Company has graced stages locally\, nationally\, and internationally with world class Irish step dance. Under the vision of Director Maureen Berry\, recipient of the 2009 Individual Artist Award for Choreography from the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC) and the 2016 Howie Award from the Howard County Arts Council\, the company’s innovative style fuses traditional Irish step dance with contemporary dance. \nIn addition to numerous performances at public\, private\, and corporate events\, Teelin Irish Dance Company is also well known for its original productions of feature-length stage shows: Portraits of Ireland (2006-2011)\, StepDance (2012-2013)\, Sláinte (2014)\, and Celtic Storm (2016-2019). Prestigious venues for these productions include the Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick\, the Lyric Opera House in Baltimore\, Stephens Hall Theatre at Towson University\, the Chesapeake Arts Center in Brooklyn Park\, and the Meyerhoff Auditorium at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
