DESCRIPTION:Berkshire Jazz Showcase\nSaturday\, July 23\, 1 to 5 pm\nThe First Street Common \nThis free concert will feature four of the most popular and versatile regional bands in the performance pavilion on Pittsfield’s First Street Common. \nThe wide-ranging lineup for the jazz extravaganza will include: \nThe Michael Fahn Quartet and the Giuffre/Brookmeyer Project paying homage to two of jazz’ most innovative composers \nThe Suzi Stern Quartet headed by the renowned Boston vocalist who now calls the Berkshires home \nRob Putnam\, the veteran\, multi-talented musician featured with his organ trio \nThe Dave Bartley Quartet with its instrumental and vocal Mississippi blues and jazz repertoire \nAudiences are advised to bring blankets or chairs. Feel free to bring your own picnic and/or non-alcoholic beverages. \nLead sponsor for The Berkshire Jazz Showcase is The Berkshire Eagle\, with additional support from The Pittsfield Cultural Council\, Massachusetts Cultural Council\, MountainOne\, and the City of Pittsfield’s Office of Cultural Development.
