(DPI) will host Downtown Pittsfield Restaurant Week during and in conjunction with the City of Pittsfield’s 12th Annual 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival from February 16-26\, 2023. \n  \nDowntown Pittsfield Restaurant Week is sponsored by Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. and the Mill Town Foundation. \n  \nDowntown Pittsfield Restaurant Week will feature a passport to encourage people to dine in as many restaurants as possible over the 10 days. Patrons will receive a stamp on their passport for each unique place they dine\, with each stamp being an entry into a prize package drawing for restaurant gift cards. If a person visits 10 different places in the 10 days\, they will get 10 bonus entries\, and if they donate a non-perishable food item to benefit the South Community Food Pantry at South Congregational Church\, they will also receive a bonus stamp. Donations may be dropped off at Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc.\, 33 Dunham Mall\, from 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. \n  \nThe passport will be available at participating locations the week of February 16. Participating locations include 101 Restaurant & Bar\, Berkshire Palate\, Dottie’s Coffee Lounge\, Espetinho Carioca\, Hot Harry’s\, Hot Plate Brewing Co.\, LuLu’s Tiny Grocery\, Methuselah Bar & Lounge\, Otto’s Kitchen & Comfort\, Patrick’s Pub\, Thistle and Mirth\, and Thrive Diner. \n  \nCompleted passports may be dropped off at any location above. Passports will be collected from those locations on Monday\, February 27\, and a winner will be chosen the week of March 6\, 2023. The more stamps\, the greater your chances to win! \n  \nDowntown Pittsfield Restaurant Week will feature “Perfect 10 Cocktails” by Berkshire Mountain Distillers at select locations\, as well as 10-themed menus and specials highlighting some of the best our restaurants have to offer. \n  \nHot Plate Brewing Co. will be holding a 10-day event\, each event celebrating one of their first ten beers and featuring local musicians\, writers\, and business owners\, as well as some incredible women working in the Craft Beer industry in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Hot Plate will be kicking off “The First Ten” event with a special performance by local musicians Chris Merenda\, Dave Brown\, and Daniel Broad on February 16 at 7 pm. Inspired by the likes of Stevie Nicks\, Kacey Musgraves\, and Brandi Carlile\, she will pull you right in with her honest\, relatable lyrics and her emotional\, powerful voice. \n  \nErin Laundry\, owner of Pittsfield’s Bottomless Bricks\, will be hosting a free\, drop-in LEGO® Community Quilt Art Project on May 5 from 5 to 8 pm at Framework\, Pittsfield Coworking\, 437 North Street. The community is invited to make art using LEGO® elements by visiting the Creation Station at Framework to decorate a LEGO® square to be added to a Community Quilt. This event is open to all ages\, and it is free to participate. \n  \nAt Sotille Park\, 200 North Street\, Jim Horsford will be hosting a free live pottery demonstration where he will be inviting individuals to help him make pots on the potter’s wheel. Jim spent 30 years as an art teacher at Herberg Middle School from 1978 to 2008. DESCRIPTION:Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. (DPI) will host a Downtown Pittsfield Cleanup on Friday\, May 19 from 12 to 3 pm. DPI’s Downtown Pittsfield Cleanups are good-natured competitions between local companies and individuals supporting an important part of DPI’s mission to keep downtown clean\, safe\, and friendly. This year over 200 volunteers representing 2 dozen local businesses and organizations will take to the streets for this annual event. \n  \nParticipating teams include Berkshire Bank\, Berkshire County Arc\, Berkshire Innovation Center\, Berkshire Medical Center\, Berkshire Museum\, Berkshire Pride\, Berkshire Theatre Group\, BFAIR\, Big Y\, Carr Hardware\, Committee of Public Counsel Services\, Committee to Elect John Krol\, Crane Currency\, CT Management Group\, Dulye Leadership Experience/CompuWorks\, Guardian\, Guidewire\, Hillcrest Educational Centers Highpoint Campus\, Mill Town\, MOLARI\, Pittsfield Beautiful\, Pittsfield High School\, Pittsfield Police Department\, Raytheon\, RE-FORMation Academy\, Richmond Appraisal Company\, Sirenssa\, Soldier On\, The Pittsfield Cooperative Bank\, and Witch Slapped. \n  \nThe Downtown Cleanup area includes North and South Street between East and West Housatonic Streets and Berkshire Medical Center and all side streets. The following awards will be presented by a panel of judges to 4 deserving Cleanup teams at an Awards Ceremony at Hot Plate Brewing Co after the Cleanup: Little Litter Busters\, Crushed Soda Can\, Golden Trash Bag\, and the Dream Team Cleaners. \n  \nTo companion the Downtown Pittsfield Cleanup\, Downtown Pittsfield\, Inc. has proclaimed Friday\, May 19th as “Pittsfield Clean Up Day”. On May 19\, all Pittsfield residents are encouraged to get outside and clean up in their own neighborhoods. Suggested tasks include sweeping sidewalks\, picking up trash and debris\, and anything else that makes the neighborhood a more welcoming place. Residents are encouraged to celebrate spring and their community spirit by participating in Pittsfield Clean Up Day and posting pictures of their efforts with the hashtag #PittsfieldCleanUpDay. \n

She’s known across New England and the Tri-State area for her “Danger Dame of the Flame” variety show. School Street will be closed from noon through 8 pm\, and visitors will be able to attend free performances by Barrington Stage Company\, Berkshire Theatre Group\, and musicians Glori Wilder and Chantell McFarland. Local food vendors will include Cravin’s Ice Cream and Espetinho Carioca\, and Hot Plate will be overseeing the beer garden. Balloon Ben will be offering free balloon twisters for children from 2 to 4 pm. \n  \nPerformance Schedule: \n\n3:00-3:45pm – Celebration of Black Voices presented by Barrington Stage Company (Spoken word\, poetry\, and musical performances from local artists)\n4:00-4:30pm – The cast from Berkshire Theatre Group’s upcoming production of Million Dollar Quartet at the Colonial Theatre perform select songs from the show\n4:45-6:15pm – Chantell & Friends (Chantell McFarland is well known around the Berkshires for her soulful voice\, wide range\, and sultry tones.
