DESCRIPTION:The Black Legacy Project Premiere Film Screening\nFriday\, June 17\, 7:30 pm at The Colonial Theatre\, FREE \nThe Black Legacy Project is a musical celebration of Black history to advance racial solidarity\, equity\, and belonging. The Black LP is a national project produced by Berkshires nonprofit\, Music in Common\, in partnership with community stakeholders at the local level. As it travels the country\, the Black LP brings together Black and White artists and artists of ALL backgrounds to record present day interpretations of songs central to the Black American experience and compose originals relevant to the pressing calls for change of our time. Community roundtable discussions help inform how these songs are interpreted and written. \nThe Black Legacy Project launched in September 2021 in the Berkshires and will travel to Atlanta\, Los Angeles\, the Mississippi Delta\, Denver\, the Arkansas Ozarks\, and Boise in 2022-2023. A docuseries of the project is being produced in partnership with Berkshire-based OUTPOST. The series kicks off with a premiere screening in the Berkshires in honor of Juneteenth that includes footage from the concert debut of the Project held at The Colonial Theatre in March 2022. The event will conclude with a community conversation about the Project.

Jack and Annie’s treehouse transports them back in time to the age of the dinosaurs\, where the siblings courageously learn that things are not always what they seem. \nSiblings\, Jack and Annie\, discover a tree house full of books while exploring one afternoon. Jack looks through a book about dinosaurs and wishes he could see a real one. Suddenly\, the wind begins to blow and the tree house starts to spin wildly. DESCRIPTION:The United States Air Force Heritage of America Band has a rich history of inspiring hearts and minds\, building and sustaining American patriotism and enhancing esprit de corps in the United States Air Force. It was one of the original Army Air Corps bands\, created by order of the Secretary of War on October 1\, 1941 and assigned to Barksdale Field\, Louisiana. In June 1946\, after a short stay at Brooks Field\, Texas\, the band arrived at Langley Field\, now Joint Base Langley-Eustis\, VA\, its current home. \nFor over 75 years\, the band has represented the Air Force with musical and military distinction. Members bring music to the mid-Atlantic in live concerts and to the nation in televised events such as The Today Show and the DESERT STORM National Victory Parade and presidential inaugural events. The Heritage of America Band has performed ceremonies for U.S presidents and foreign heads of state\, including the Queen of England and the President of France. Using today’s technology\, the band reaches a world wide audience through its website\, social media and audio recordings. Additionally\, the band travels more than 150\,000 miles to perform hundreds of concerts for listeners across a fifteen-state region from Maine to South Carolina. \nIn recent years\, the mission of Air Force Bands has become an expeditionary one. The Blue Aces were among the first groups to tour Southwest Asia and the Horn of Africa to support coalition and Joint forces serving in the Global War on Terrorism. \nThe USAF Heritage of America Band’s exceptional musicianship has earned international critical acclaim and numerous honors: eight Air Force Outstanding Unit Awards\, five Air Force Organizational Excellence Awards\, four Colonel George S.
