The mission of the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires (NPC) is to facilitate growth for charitable organizations through shared resources, affordable services, and creative collaborations.
The NPC serves as a clearinghouse for information and resources, providing a one-stop solution to daily challenges nonprofits face. By providing affordable opportunities for nonprofits to connect, learn and grow, the NPC works to improve the overall organization and efficiency of the nonprofit sector. Supporting nonprofit leaders is our primary activity. Every day the NPC fields requests for information and referrals, making life just a little bit easier for those on the frontlines of nonprofit work. Communication vehicles such as a listserv, gala calendar, and quarterly newsletter help leaders stay in touch and on top of what’s going on in our vibrant sector. In its growing advocacy role, the NPC hosts legislative Town Halls, hosts a column in the Berkshire Business Journal, authors opinion pieces, conducts research, and promotes volunteerism.
