The mission of the Literacy Network (LitNet) is to transform the lives of adult learners, both immigrant and U.S.-born, through the power of literacy, education, and advocacy.

Since 1991, LitNet has provided free, 1:1 educational support by offering a partnership with a volunteer tutor. Our core areas are English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), U.S. Citizenship preparation, Adult Basic Education, and First-Generation College Support. We serve about 350 people each year in our 1:1 tutoring programs, 95% of whom are immigrants seeking support to improve their English.
