In & Out of the Studios at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts  

The City of Pittsfield’s Office of Cultural Development announces the opening of In & Out of the Studios, featuring the artists of the Lichtenstein and special guests. The exhibit opens Friday, October 2nd with a reception from 5 to 7 pm. This exhibit brings together the work of resident artists and invited guest artists for a vibrant celebration of creativity and our community.

Featured artists of the Lichtenstein include Mario Caluori, Rick Casucci, Maru Dominguez, Peg Dotchin, Carly Holmes, Jim Horsford, Sean McCusker, Jesse Tobin McCauley, Fallon Saldo, Michael Vincent Bushy, and Artist-in-Residence Elizabeth Nelson.

The exhibition also welcomes invited guest artists Morris Bennett, John Bowlby, Paula Dambraskus, Emily Gabriel, Ani Hocker, Sue Horsford, Jamie Kurland, Shelsy Rodriguez, and Dana Willette.

Explore an eclectic collection of original works spanning painting, pottery, photography, textiles, and bookmaking offering a glimpse into the diverse creativity thriving within and beyond the Lichtenstein Center.

Go beyond the gallery during the opening reception and into the artists’ creative spaces with open studios. During the event, resident artists will open their second- and third-floor studios, while Jim Horsford’s basement ceramics studio will also be open for visitors to explore. Come see where the art happens, meet the artists, and experience the creative energy of the Lichtenstein Center with In & Out of the Studios.

The exhibit is on view from October 2-30.

The Lichtenstein Center for the Arts is a city-owned art gallery located in downtown Pittsfield’s Upstreet Cultural District at 28 Renne Avenue. It is open Wednesday-Friday, 11am-3pm or by appointment. The Lichtenstein features a gallery/performance space with changing exhibitions, classes and performances; a ceramic studio, and nine working artist studios.
