The Artists at the historic Clock Tower will host Open Studios on Saturday, July 1, from 11 am to 4 pm. The Clock Tower Studios are located on the third floor of the Clock Tower at 75 South Church Street.
The artists hosting open studios at the Clock Tower are Deborah H. Carter, Joanie Colfi, Marion H. Grant, Stacey Healy, Caroline Kelley, Bruce Laird, Mark Mellinger, Linda Petrocine, Shany Porras, Sally Tiska Rice, Ilene Richard, Audrey Shachnow, and Stefanie Weber.

Second Annual Pittsfield Parade Car Show

The Pittsfield Parade Committee is hosting its second annual Car Show to benefit the Pittsfield Parade!
All cars are welcome! Entry fees are on a donation basis and all proceeds support the parade. Awards will be given at the end of the event. Food trucks and tented area.

Admission is a $20 per person suggested donation to the Pittsfield Parade at the door. Doors open at 6 pm.
Since 1946, the Greater Kensington String Band has been a totally volunteer organization that participates in the world famous Mummers Parade on New Year’s Day in Philadelphia, PA. At this concert on July 3, they will be playing highlights from their foot-tapping music and will showcase their good-humored fun. (Join us at the Pittsfield 4th of July Parade to see them in their famous, colorfully costumed attire.)
WhoaPhat Brass Band specializes in a unique instrumentation – which can range from seven to twenty musicians, quality of musicianship, and dynamic music arrangements. Their brass band repertoire spans across decades of musical genres including second line, jazz, funk, disco, and rock. WhoaPhat Brass Band has won top honors for musical performances in the Philadelphia Mummers and Saint Patrick’s Day Parades.
BHS 4th of July 5K Road Race
Tuesday, July 4, 9 am
The Berkshire Health Systems 4th of July 5K Road Race is an out-and-back 5K course on the route of the Pittsfield 4th of July Parade. The race starts sharply at 9 am, prior to the parade kick off at 10 am.
This year’s race is being directed by the Berkshire Running Foundation. Proceeds will go to the behavioral health service programs at BHS as well as the Pittsfield Parade Committee.
Prizes will be awarded for overall top 3 male and female finishers, and for top finishers in each age category (0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+)
Registration fee is $25.
Fourth of July Parade: Stars, Stripes and Smiles – In the Berkshires
Tuesday, July 4, 10 am
The parade kicks off at 10 am sharp, rain or shine, beginning at the intersection of South and East/West Housatonic Streets.
The Parade will be broadcast on PTCV channel 1301, PCTV select, and Facebook live starting at 9:30 am.

The First Fridays Artswalk in downtown Pittsfield returns on Friday, July 7 from 5 to 8 pm. Enjoy an Art Market on Dunham Mall, live music in Persip Park, live art demonstrations, opening receptions, open studios, and a Swing Dance lesson in Palace Park with a live band! Free Kids’ Paint & Sip

Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. will host a Free Kids’ Paint & Sip on Friday, July 7, 5 to 7 pm, in the outdoor seating area next to Hot Harry’s and in front of the Marketplace Cafe (53 North Street).
This free summer-themed Paint & Sip is best suited for ages 5 to 12, although younger and older children are welcome. All materials, instruction, snacks, and juice will be provided. Children are welcome to drop in anytime over the course of the event, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Back Porch Music: CJ Field

Berkshire County native CJ Field is a Grammy-nominated songwriter who has a soulful sound with southern rock influences.
Concerts are on the Back Porch at Hancock Shaker Village; guests sit on the lawn and should bring a blanket or lawn chair. If rain is forecasted, the concert will move indoors. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are non-refundable. Cash Bar.

Fifth Annual Berkshire Jazz Showcase
Saturday, July 8, 1 to 5 pm (Rain date: July 9)
A free all-afternoon concert on Pittsfield’s First Street Common, adjacent to the playground and splash park. The showcase features four of the finest jazz groups in the region: The Wanda Houston Band, Paul Ostermayer Quartet, Luke Franco Quartet, and Andy Kelly’s Jazz Ambassadors (7-piece New Orleans ensemble). Food trucks will be on site or bring your own picnic and non-alcoholic beverages, along with a blanket or chairs.
