Common Ground Festival
August 23

Sponsored and programmed by Mill Town Foundation, Common Ground is a platform for collaboration – designed to create authentic community connections, promote cultural diversity, and contribute to our region’s vibrancy.
The inaugural festival in 2024, included live performances and community activities by Kripalu, Barrington Stage Company, Tanglewood, Clara Guatta, Quarteto de Samba, The Funky Dawgz Brass Band, along with a dance circle led by Andres Ramirez and the Funk Box Dance Studio. Over 40 vendors and presenting organizations collaborated to offer free interactive activities including artmaking, photo booths, and more.
In 2025, the Common Ground program will expand to create additional ways for the community to connect and create. Workshops will bring together local leaders, organizations, and community members for interactive sessions focused on collaboration, resource-sharing, and community-driven solutions. Explorations offer immersive experiences that connect participants with the natural beauty, cultural richness, and creative spirit of the Berkshires. Showcases highlight the talents, stories, and innovations of local artists, educators, and changemakers through performances, exhibits, and presentations.
This will culminate in the second annual Common Ground Festival on Saturday, August 23, 2025. This festival will unite our community with a celebration focused on the arts, music, and outdoor activities.
