Live art demonstration by artist Michael Carty

Enjoy a live art demonstration by artist Michael Carty at Sotille Park, corner of North and Eagle Street, from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, May 3rd during the First Fridays at Five! Mike will be creating a piece of artwork live with aerosol paint.

Michael Carty is a fine and commercial artist living and working in downtown Pittsfield. His public work is often a reflection of his biophilia with the Berkshire flora and fauna. This work is an amalgamation of his many years as a practitioner of graphic design, sign making, and graffiti. The majority of his works have been created on a pro-bono basis in an effort to make “creative Pittsfield” just that.

First Fridays at Five is a brand-new event led by the City of Pittsfield and Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. taking place in downtown Pittsfield from May-September. A portion of North Street and School Street will be closed during the event.
