Celebrate the opening of “Museum of the Moon” as the Berkshire Museum launches “Night Out at the Museum”, a new adults-only salon series where visitors and special guests meet to explore themes and special interests while enjoying snacks, drinks, and fun activities.
Enjoy art, science, and smart conversation after-hours during this special event for adults ages 21+ as you grab a drink, meet new friends, and learn about our nearest celestial neighbor under the light of the much-anticipated Museum of the Moon exhibition on its opening night. The evening will feature presentations by experts in astronomy, delicious snacks, a cash bar, origami crafts, and VR experiences inspired by the splendor of the night sky.
Speakers:
Dr. Nick Stroud, MCLA professor of science education
Dr. Casey Honniball, NASA Postdoctoral Program fellow, lead author of research that discovered water molecules on Earth’s moon
$25 general admission, $20 members
Each ticket includes hors d’oeuvres and one drink ticket for beer or wine.
Doors open at 6:30 pm. Talks begin at 7 pm.
All event attendees are required to show a form of ID and one of the following upon arrival:
— a COVID-19 vaccination card
— proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 48 hours
